How do I add my POP3 email account to Outlook?
We will explain you how to set up your POP3 mailbox in Outlook. Important to know is that you always need to use the mailserver of your provider who is responsible for your connection, as your outgoing mailserver (this is the server for the emails you send yourself). We hereby give you a short overview of which server this is with a few well known providers:
- Pandora (Telenet): uit.telenet.be
- Skynet: relay.skynet.be
- Proximus: relay.proximus.be
- Evonet: smtp.evonet.be

Outlook 2000

Select the option Accounts in the menu Tools

Select Add and choose Mail

Enter your full name next to Display name. Click Next

Enter the email address you've created via our website next to Email address. Click Next

The servertype for incoming e-mail is POP3. The server for incoming email is mail.bNamed.net. The server for outgoing emai is the one of your internet provider (above you'll find an overview or contact your provider). Click Next

Fill out your complete email address next to Account name and fill out the password you've chosen when you created your POP3 Account next to Password. Click Next

You'll be asked to select your internet connection. Users of cable internet (Telenet, UPC,...) need to choose LAN. Otherwise you need to choose Connect using my phone line and select your dial-up connection in the next screen.

Click Next one more time and click Finish. Your account has been added.
Mail for mac OS X

Open in Finder, in Applications ; System Preferences.

Select under Internet & Wireless ; Mail, Contacts & Calendars.

Scroll down the list and select Add Other Account … .

Select Add a Mail account and click Create …

Type in Full Name your full name.

In Email Address type in the email address you created through our website. The Password is the same password that was entered when you generated the address. Then click Create.

If this is the first time you use Mail, you will be presented with a window in wich you have to enter the same data again. Then click Continue

The Account Type for incoming mail is POP. The Incoming Mail Server is POP3.NameWeb.biz . For User Name and Password you use the full email address and password you chose when creating the mail address on our website. Click Continue .

Select Use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) and choose Password as Authentication. Click Continue.

The Outgoing Mail Server is that of your internet provider (ISP) (above you'll find an overview or contact your provider). Leave the other fields empty and click Continue .

You are now presented with a summary where you can check your input. Click Create . Your account has now been added.
